In seguito all’invio dell’appello per la Terra firmato da 122 cittadini del mondo, a molti capi di stato del mondo ed alla Commissione Europea, per disposizione del Presidente Josè Manuel BARROSO, è pervenuta la seguente risposta:

Quì di seguito è riportato il testo della risposta che intendo inviare, dopo aver ricevuto l’assenso dei 122 firmatari dell’appello per la Terra:

Mr. President Barroso,

we all thank you very much for the attention that you wanted to reserve us, giving disposition to the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation to respond to our appeal for the Earth. Allows us, however, Mr. President, to underline that the reply given by the Director General Dr. Robert Jan Smits, it is a courtesy response, for which we thank him, but that does not meet our expectations. If the problem we place is closely monitored through specific research programs of EU, it should be well known to you, Mr. President and to all Commissioners, that the Earth is shrinking in its equatorial belt, giving rise to all disasters that our planet is undergoing from many years and that will suffer, even more and more tragically in the coming years.

With all the consideration and the respect due to your Person and to your great moral and political stature, allows us to highlight that in order to understand the reasons that have brought our planet to the represented situation, do not need any complex research programs: for a long time, that the Earth is gradually slowing its rotation, is accurately detected by atomic clocks of ITU (international Telecommunication Union), the international organization which is responsible for controlling the Coordinated Universal Time; and it is the same ITU, that for maintain the synchronization between UTC and the slowed natural time marked by the rotation of the earth, periodically has to stop its atomic clocks for 1 second. Since 1972, in the total silence of science and the media all over the world, this operation, called “Leap second” was performed 26 times.

That the Earth is slowing down is well known and it is also known that the cause is the huge extraction of fossil fuels over the last two centuries and the consequences of their combustion. The extraction and distancing from its axis of rotation, of enormous quantities of masses, the dispersion in the atmosphere of combustion products, at even greater distances from the Earth axis and the even larger distancing towards the equator of the water of melting ice caps, have significantly increased the rotational inertia of the Earth and thus must necessarily slow, for the same reason of the slowing down of rotation of the ice skater, when he spreadshis arms away from its axis of rotation. To this slowing down, follows a decrease of the centrifugal force that the rotation imparts to its every element of volume, which results in an abnormal increase in weight of all its mass.

Is this huge overweight that increase enormously and gradually the pressure suffered by the semi-liquid magma mantle. Because the Earth, beyond the spherical shape, is structurally similar to an egg; and so, increasing pressure on its equatorial belt, inevitably leads to fractures in his thin hard shell; fractures that for the Earth’s crust will be in addition to those already naturally determined by tectonics. With the increasing pressure that this overweight has on egg’s content or, similarly, on the content of the thin terrestrial crust, can only increase the risk of catastrophic eruptions. To stop this phenomenon, which in time a few decades will lead inexorably to the Earth total catastrophe, it is necessary that the policy takes note of this problem and with courage and determination, give start to a social and economic revolution that will bring the world to a radical change of the global politics for the environment and for energy (which would also lead an extraordinary revival of economies around the world).

What we ask you Mr. President, is this courageous acknowledgment. In the absence of what we will turn to the European Court of Justice, demanding that through its responsible organisms ascertain if the represented tragic situation, is known to responsible research organizations of the European States and if the same is guilty unspoken. If it is found that is deliberately silenced, to ensure the legitimacy of silence and the causes that motivate it.
With respectfully we ask you, Mr. President, to welcome this our appeal as a sign of great respect and high consideration, that each of us, personally, reserve to you.

noi tutti La ringraziamo sentitamente per l’attenzione che ci ha voluto riservare, dando disposizione alla Direzione generale per la ricerca e l’innovazione di rispondere al nostro appello per la Terra. Ci consenta tuttavia, Sig. Presidente, di segnalarle che la risposta fornita dal Direttore Generale dott. Robert Jan Smits, è una risposta di cortesia, per la quale lo ringraziamo, ma che non soddisfa le nostre aspettative. Se il problema da noi posto è strettamente monitorato attraverso specifici programmi di ricerca della UE, dovrebbe già essere noto a Lei Sig. Presidente ed alla Commissione tutta, che la Terra si sta restringendo nella sua fascia equatoriale, dando origine a tutti i disastri che il nostro pianeta sta subendo da ormai molti anni e che ancor più e più tragicamente subirà negli anni che verranno. Con tutta la considerazione e il rispetto dovuto alla sua Persona ed alla sua grande statura morale e politica, ci consenta di evidenziare che per comprendere le motivazioni che hanno portato il nostro pianeta nella drammatica situazione in cui si trova, non occorrono complessi programmi di ricerca: che la Terra, da ormai molti anni stia progressivamente rallentando la sua rotazione è una evidenza rilevata con precisione dagli orologi atomici dell’UIT (Unione Internazionale delle Telecomunicazioni), l’organismo internazionale cui è demandato il controllo del Tempo Coordinato Universale; ed è la stessa UIT che per mantenere il sincronismo fra il tempo UTC e il rallentato tempo naturale scandito dalla rotazione terrestre, deve periodicamente fermare i suoi orologi atomici per 1 secondo. Dal 1972, nel totale silenzio della scienza e dei media di tutto il mondo, questa operazione, denominata “Leap second” è stata effettuata 26 volte. Che la Terra stia rallentando è quindi ben noto ed è anche noto che ne sono causa le ingenti estrazioni di carburanti fossili effettuate negli ultimi due secoli e le conseguenze della loro combustione. L’estrazione e l’allontanamento dal suo asse di rotazione di enormi quantità di masse, la dispersione nell’atmosfera dei prodotti di combustione, a distanze ancor più grandi dall’asse terrestre e l’ancor più grande allontanamento verso l’equatore delle acque di scioglimento delle calotte polari, ne hanno significativamente aumentato l’inerzia rotazionale; deve quindi necessariamente rallentare, per lo stesso motivo fisico che determina il rallentamento della rotazione del pattinatore su ghiaccio quando distende le braccia (allontanandole dal suo asse di rotazione). La diminuzione della forza centrifuga che la rotazione imprime ad ogni suo elemento di volume, si traduce quindi in un abnorme aumento di peso di tutta la sua massa. E’ questo enorme sovrappeso che oltre a restringere il diametro equatoriale della Terra, sta facendo aumentare progressivamente la pressione subita dal magma semiliquido del suo mantello. Essendo la Terra, al di la della sua forma sferica, strutturalmente simile ad un uovo, l’aumento di pressione sulla sua fascia equatoriale, determina inevitabilmente delle fratture nel suo sottile guscio rigido; fratture che risulteranno aggiuntive rispetto a quelle già naturalmente determinate dalla tettonica. Con il crescere della pressione che il sovrappeso esercita sul contenuto dell’uovo o, similmente, sul contenuto della sottile crosta terrestre, non può che aumentare il rischio di eruzioni . Per arrestare questo fenomeno, che nel tempo di alcuni decenni porterà inesorabilmente la Terra alla catastrofe totale, è necessario che la Politica prenda atto dell’esistenza di questo problema e con coraggio e determinazione, dia inizio alla rivoluzione sociale ed economica che porti il mondo ad un radicale cambio della politica planetaria per l’ambiente e per l’energia (cosa che peraltro porterebbe anche uno straordinario rilancio delle economie di tutto il mondo). Quello che chiediamo a Lei Sig. Presidente, è proprio questa coraggiosa presa d’atto. Se non ci sarà, ci rivolgeremo alla Corte di Giustizia europea, chiedendo che attraverso i suoi preposti organismi, accerti se la rappresentata tragica realtà è nota ai preposti organismi di ricerca degli Stati Europei e se la stessa viene colpevolmente taciuta; ed ove si accerti che è volutamente taciuta, accertare la legittimità del silenzio e delle cause che lo hanno motivato.

Con deferenza e con ossequio Le chiediamo, Sig. Presidente, di accogliere questa nostro appello come il segno della grande stima e dell’alta considerazione che personalmente ognuno di noi Le riserva.

In risposta alla mia prima lettera inviata il 25 maggio 2010 al presidente dell’unione europea Josè Manuel Barroso e a tutti i potenti della terra, mi è pervenuta la lettera postata di seguito, inviata il 7 luglio 2010 dal dott. Rudolf Strohmeier, Direttore Generale del Dipartimento Ricerca Scientifica della Presidenza dell’Unione Europea.

Ora, essendo la situazione attuale molto più grave di allora ed in progressivo esponenziale aggravarsi, vorrei fare un ulteriore tentativo, sperando di ottenerne un maggiore ascolto. Per far si che questo accada e per rendere più incisiva l’iniziativa, ho realizzato questo blog per cercare di ottenere l’adesione di un maggior numero di persone (spero almeno mille). Per questo motivo, prego vivamente tutti coloro che vi accedono e che, dall’attento esame del suo contenuto, realizzino pienamente l’estrema gravità del problema, di aderire compilando ed inviando il modulo elettronico contenuto nella sezione “Appello per la Terra”.

Lo raccomando vivamente, perchè l’epocale problema che si pone è “SALVARE LA TERRA”.

Vi prego di credere che questa non è una iperbole volta a destare impressione: ferma restando la necessità di introdurre periodicamente il “LEAP SECOND”, saranno sufficienti alcuni decenni perché il rallentamento della Terra raggiunga valori dell’ordine dei minuti. Per le motivazioni ampiamente esposte e dimostrate nel filmato ciò comporterà un progressivo micidiale aumento della forza che stringe tutta l’ampia fascia equatoriale della Terra: non è difficile immaginarne le conseguenze.

Desidero ringraziare tutti coloro che hanno sottoscritto l’Appello per la Terra. Sono le 122 persone elencate nella pagina 10 di questo blog la cui sensibile propensione per le tematiche ambientali, li ha spinti ad approfondire e comprendere la gravità del problema che vi è posto. Desidero altresì informarli che in data 7 maggio 2013, ho imbucato le lettere con l’appello per la Terra, ai capi di stato dei paesi più importanti del mondo,

nel testo e negli allegati riportati di seguito.

L’ho fatto partire dalla meravigliosa Terra d’Australia, ove sono stato per oltre due mesi ed ove ho potuto rendermi conto del forte stress ambientale cui è sottoposto questo sterminato Paese, più grande di tutta l’Europa e come questo può conferire all’appello per la Terra, un importante valore simbolico aggiunto.

Questa affermazione discende dalla mia personale convinzione che da tale stress ambientale può trarsi una idea concreta dei terribili danni che può causare la scienza, quando è distratta, quando è supina come quella espressa dalla commissione grandi rischi che abbiamo conosciuto a L’Aquila o quando subisce le fortissime influenze del capitalismo cieco, ottuso e spesso criminale.

Gran parte del territorio australiano, subisce le conseguenze del buco dell’ozono. Con una strage silente di circa 18 mila vittime l’anno, è il paese con la più elevata incidenza di melanomi maligni riconducibili ad una esposizione ai potenti raggi ultravioletti non più bloccati dallo schermo di ozono. Il sole, sorgente di vita, è qui diventato anche sorgente di morte. Un sole con un alone di gran lunga molto più esteso e brillante del normale e terribilmente accecante. Un sole il cui potenziato irraggiamento, combinato con gli effetti del riscaldamento globale, porta le temperature estive a livelli massimi mai raggiunti: livelli medi di 41 gradi all’ombra, che implicano livelli massimi oltre i 43-44° e perfino di 50° nelle zone desertiche interne, facilitando l’innesco di devastanti incendi. Non ci voleva granché per prevederlo: bastava un laboratorio chimico anche modesto, ove simulare una reazione fra i gas refrigeranti idroclorofluorocarburi (HCFC: dei quali chiunque avrebbe potuto prevedere il massiccio impiego planetario che se ne sarebbe fatto) e i fondamentali componenti dell’aria che respiriamo ed analizzarne i prodotti con un gascromatografo. Ma la scienza forse era distratta.

Poi ci sono le disastrose alluvioni che da qualche anno inondano gran parte del territorio del nord dell’Australia più prossimo all’equatore. Possono giustificarsi con il solo “Global warming”? E’ chiaro che no; perché non possono essere attribuite al solo millimetro per anno di aumento del livello degli oceani causato dallo scioglimento dei ghiacci polari. Allora quale può essere la causa? Perchè una causa deve necessariamente esserci. Anche in questo caso la scienza non dà una risposta e neanche ne cerca una credibile. Perché è di nuovo distratta, o perché le risposte che si possono agevolmente intuire, come dimostra il mio blog, sono terribilmente scomode e scottanti?

L’Australia, grazie anche alla severissima ed assurda legge che vieta l’introduzione di semi nel proprio territorio (chiunque arriva in Australia è sottoposto al fiuto di cani speciali in grado di fiutare tutti i prodotti di cui è vietata l’introduzione) è anche il paese più estesamente e profondamente “Monsantizzato”. Pomodori (e gli altri molti ortaggi) resi tutti uguali e con un alto contenuto di acqua e quindi praticamente privi di sapore, grazie a semi geneticamente modificati di cui la Monsanto detiene brevetto ed esclusiva di vendita; cocomeri ottenuti da semi cosiddetti “Terminator” perché sono geneticamente programmati per estinguersi nei cocomeri senza semi cui daranno vita; che oltre a non avere semi non hanno neanche alcun sapore. In realtà di piccoli semini inconsistenti e gelatinosi, impossibili da togliere, ce ne sono tanti e devono essere necessariamente mangiati insieme alla sbiadita polpa in cui sono immersi. Viene da chiedersi se la scienza ha provato a verificare se sono cancerogeni, come sono risultati, è ormai certo, i semi del mais geneticamente modificato; la risposta è no! Non lo ha fatto e forse non lo farà mai. Non ci si può mettere contro uno dei più potenti colossi mondiali delle biotecnologie e della finanza, cui è consentito di modificare a piacimento e con finalità esclusivamente economiche, i DNA vegetali; e per di più brevettarli ed imporli nei mercati di tutto il mondo, spesso con il sostegno di legislazioni strumentalmente compiacenti.

I wish to thank all those who have signed the Appeal for the Earth. They are 122 people listed on page 10 of this blog, whose propensity sensitive to environmental issues, has led them to investigate and understand the gravity of the problem that is represented in the blog.

I also wish to inform them that in date May 7, 2013, I mailed the letters with the appeal for the Earth, to the heads of state of the most important countries of the world,

in the text and annexes below.

I did it from the wonderful Australia, where I stayed for over two months and where I note the strong environmental stress to which is subjected this vast Country, larger of all Europe and how this can give to the appeal for the Earth, an important symbolic value added.
This claim derives from my personal conviction that such stress may give a concrete idea of the terrible damage which can cause the science, when distracted, when it is supine as the “science” expressed by the Italian “Great risks Commission”, with regard to earthquake of April 2009 in L’Aquila, or when it suffer the strong influences of capitalism blind, obtuse and often criminal.

Australia is suffering the consequences of the ozone hole. With a silent massacre of about 18,000 people a year, is the country with the highest incidence of malignant melanoma due to exposure to the powerful ultraviolet rays no longer blocked by the ozone screen. The sun, the source of life, is here also became the source of death. A sun with a halo terribly blinding and by far much larger and brighter than normal. A sun whose enhanced radiation, combined with the effects of global warming, leads the summer temperatures to the highest levels ever achieved: the average levels of 41 degrees in the shade, which involve maximum levels above 43-44 ° and even 50 ° in inland desert areas, facilitating the onset of devastating fires. It did not take much to predict this disaster: only needed a chemistry laboratory also modest, where simulate a reaction between the refrigerant gases hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFC: of which anyone could have predicted the massive planetary use that it should be done) and the fundamental components of the air we breathe and analyze products with a gas chromatograph. But science may have been distracted.

Australia is involved in the disastrous floods that over recent years inundate much of its northern territory closer to the equator. They can only be justified by the “Global Warming”? It is clear that no; they cannot be attributed to one millimeter per year of rising sea levels caused by the melting of polar ice. So what can be the cause? Why a cause must necessarily be there. Also in this case the science does not give a response, and even don’t looks for a credible one. Why is again distracted, or because the answers that can be easily guess, as evidenced by my blog, are terribly uncomfortable and burning?

Australia, thanks to the very strict and absurd law that prohibits the introduction into its territory of seeds (whoever arrives in Australia is subject to special sniffing dogs can sniff out all the products which are prohibited from introduction) is also the country more widely and deeply “Monsantizzed”. Tomatoes all made equal and heavier of water and therefore practically free of flavor, thanks to genetically modified seeds for wich Monsanto has patented and exclusive sales; watermelons grown from seeds so-called “Terminator” because they are genetically programmed to become extinct in seedless watermelons to which give life; they besides not having seeds, do not have even any flavor. in reality they have seeds but are very small, inconsistent and gelatinous, impossible to remove; so they need to be eaten together with the faded pulp in which they are immersed. One wonders whether the science has tried to make them eat to the mice, to see if they are carcinogenic as the seeds of genetically modified corn; the answer is no! He did not and perhaps will never do. They cannot put against one of the most powerful global giants of biotechnology and finance, which is allowed to freely edit the plant’s DNA for economic purposes only, and on top of that, to patent and impose them in markets around the world, often with the support of legislation instrumentally complacent.

PREGHIAMO VIVAMENTE tutte le eccellentissime Autorità in indirizzo, di leggere attentamente la allegata nota sulle certe tremende conseguenze delle imponenti e crescenti estrazioni di carburanti fossili, della loro combustione e del conseguente effetto serra. Oltre ai noti sconvolgimenti climatici, ne deriva un rallentamento ormai certo della velocità di rotazione della Terra dalla quale deriva una smisurata forza di compressione che la opprime nella sua ampia fascia equatoriale; compressione che inevitabilmente ne determina un restringimento e tutti i conseguenti disastri che da diversi anni stanno sconvolgendo ogni angolo del mondo. Rivolgiamo a tutti un accorato appello affinchè si pongano in essere tutte le possibili iniziative politiche intese a meglio definire i fenomeni rappresentati e ad avviare tutte le possibili azioni di governo intese a contrastarli.

WE PRAY STRONGLY all the most excellent Authority listed in the address, to read the attached note on certain tremendous consequences of massive and increasing extraction of fossil fuels, their combustion and the resulting greenhouse effect. In addition to the known effects on climate, this results in a slowing of the speed of rotation of the Earth, now certain and measured and a boundless compression force that oppress the Earth in its wide equatorial belt; compression that inevitably results in a narrowing and in all the consequent disasters, that for several years are shaking every corner of the world. We address to all a heartfelt appeal to put in place all possible policy initiatives, designed to better define the phenomena represented and to take all possible government actions designed to counter them.

Le enormi quantità di carburanti fossili estratte e bruciate negli ultimi 2 secoli, oltre ai danni ambientali legati all’effetto serra ed al riscaldamento globale, hanno causato anche un significativo aumento dell’inerzia rotazionale della Terra (dovuto all’allontanamento di enormi quantità di massa rispetto al suo asse di rotazione) e quindi un rallentamento della sua velocità di rotazione (per capire il problema è utile l’esempio del danzatore su ghiaccio che rallenta vistosamente la sua rotazione semplicemente allontanando le braccia dal suo asse di rotazione). L’estrazione di miliardi di trilioni di tonnellate di petrolio, carbone e gas, da profondità medie fra 1 e 5 km, già di per se rappresenta un significativo spostamento di masse rispetto all’asse terrestre, ma non è il prevalente. Il contributo maggiore è dovuto al loro impiego, sia per la diffusione in aria, ad altezze di molti km (quindi ancor più lontano dall’asse terrestre), dei miliardi e miliardi di tonnellate di biossido di carbonio prodotto sia, in misura più rilevante, all’analogo allontanamento, di oltre 6000 km, delle acque di scioglimento delle calotte polari causato dall’effetto serra e dal riscaldamento globale. Si tratta di un rallentamento non più trascurabile, che impone continui aggiustamenti al Tempo Coordinato Universale, finalizzati a risincronizzare il tempo UTC segnato dagli orologi atomici dell’Unione Internazionale delle Telecomunicazioni (UIT) e quindi dai nostri, con il rallentato tempo naturale scandito dalla rotazione terrestre. Sono aggiustamenti effettuati all’incirca ogni anno e mezzo e consistono nel far fare un salto all’indietro di un secondo al tempo UTC (da qui il termine “Leap second”). E’ una operazione effettuata periodicamente dall’UIT e consiste nel fermare per un secondo gli orologi atomici, per rimetterli al passo del rallentato tempo naturale. Dal 1972 ad oggi, questa operazione è stata fatta 26 volte. Si può quindi dire con certezza, che dal 1972 la Terra ha rallentato la sua rotazione di 26 secondi. Alla rallentata velocità di rotazione della Terra, corrisponde inevitabilmente una diminuzione della forza centrifuga che agisce su ogni elemento di volume terrestre (come accade per le sedioline della giostra nella figura in allegato 2); che per piccole masse è del tutto insignificante, ma per le grandi masse terrestri assume valori abnormi. Agendo la forza centrifuga dovuta alla rotazione terrestre, in opposizione alla forza peso, ne consegue che alla sua diminuzione corrisponde un appesantimento di ogni volume terrestre, pari proprio alla sua diminuzione; e il sovrappeso che ne risulta grava, per la sua gran parte, sulla fascia equatoriale del mantello terrestre (che è un enorme mare di fuoco liquido); da qui il suo restringimento ed il conseguente assestamento della crosta terrestre che su di esso galleggia, v. blog www.ilrespirodimadreterra.wordpress.com. I circa 40 km di spessore della crosta terrestre, paragonati agli oltre 6500 km di raggio del mantello semiliquido della Terra, rappresentano un sottile strato roccioso che già di per se è fratturato da migliaia di milioni di km di faglie; quindi gli assestamenti che subisce, con ogni ragionevole certezza, rappresentano la causa della lunga e tragica serie di disastri che da alcuni anni stanno sconvolgendo il nostro pianeta ed il cui volgere al termine, alla luce delle cause rappresentate, appare essere lontano.

A tutto ciò si deve aggiungere un ulteriore perverso effetto del diverso variare della forza centrifuga alle diverse profondità terrestri (per una data velocità di rotazione della Terra, al diminuire della distanza dall’asse di rotazione diminuisce la velocità radiale e quindi anche la forza centrifuga applicata ai volumi via via più interni; è quindi man mano inferiore anche la quantità di cui varia la forza centrifuga); da ciò segue che l’appesantimento subito dagli strati più esterni della Terra, è maggiore di quello subito dagli strati man mano più interni; ne risulta a carico di questi ultimi e quindi del mantello di magma liquido, un enorme aumento di pressione esercitato dalla crosta terrestre e dagli stessi suoi strati via via più esterni e via via più appesantiti; pressione che ovviamente è in progressivo aumento al progressivo diminuire della velocità di rotazione della Terra . E’ una smisurata crescente pressione che si ripercuote direttamente sui “tappi” dei vari vulcani e super vulcani e che ne mette a dura prova la tenuta. I progressivi restringimenti del diametro equatoriale sono altresì la causa della progressiva sommersione dei territori della fascia equatoriale. Questo fenomeno è in minima parte dovuto all’aumento del livello delle acque oceaniche conseguente allo scioglimento delle calotte polari (circa 1 mm/year); ma è da ritenere che per la sua gran parte sia da attribuire alla tendenza delle acque oceaniche, a ripristinare la perduta sfericità della circonferenza della sezione polare della terra. Tendenza riconducibile all’attrazione gravitazionale che ogni elemento di volume oceanico subisce e nel contempo esercita su tutto il resto della massa terracquea e che raggiunge parità per tutti i volumi e quindi equilibrio, solo quando la configurazione sferica viene ripristinata (Vedi home page del blog). Non si può infine non considerare che la conservazione del complessivo momento angolare del sistema Terra-Luna, implica che il rallentamento della rotazione terrestre viene compensato da un aumento della velocita del moto di rivoluzione della luna e quindi, per l’aumento di forza centrifuga che ne consegue, di un suo progressivo allontanamento dalla Terra.

Gli scriventi 120 cittadini del mondo, chiedono alle eccellentissime Autorità in indirizzo, di sollecitare le più appropriate ricerche scientifiche intese ad una più precisa valutazione dei fenomeni indicati ed alla ricerca delle più efficaci soluzioni, per almeno attenuare e possibilmente arrestare la rappresentata gravissima e purtroppo irreversibile calamità planetaria. Chiedono altresì con deferenza, all’eccellentissimo Segretario dell’ONU On. Ban Ki-moon, di istituire una autorevole commissione internazionale in grado di affrontare efficacemente l’emergenza rappresentata e dotata dei poteri necessari per poter proporre a tutti gli Stati del mondo, con le possibili e più autorevoli modalità, indirizzi di politiche di sviluppo più rispettose degli equilibri naturali ormai al collasso.

ENGLISH VERSION OF ANNEX 1

ANNEX ONE

The huge amounts of fossil fuels extracted and burned in the past 2 centuries, in addition to the environmental damage caused by the greenhouse effect and global warming, have also caused a significant increase in rotational inertia of the Earth (for the distancing of the enormous quantity of land masses from its axis of rotation) and then a slowing down of its rotational speed (to understand the problem is useful the example of the ice skater who extends his arms and slows its fast rotation). The extraction of billions of trillions of tons of oil, coal and gas, from an average depth between 1 and 5 km, itself already represents a significant massive shift from the Earth’s axis, but it’s not the prevalent. The main contribution is due to their use, for the spread in the air, to heights of several kilometers (then still furthest from the Earth’s axis), of the billions and billions of tons of carbon dioxide produced and, more significantly, to similar removal, over 6000 km, of the waters of melting ice caps caused by the greenhouse effect.

It is a slowdown no longer negligible, which requires continuous adjustments to Coordinated Universal Time, aimed to re-synchronize the UTC time, marked by atomic clocks of ITU, International Telecommunication Union (and then from our clocks), with the slowed natural time marked by the Earth’s rotation. This adjustment, called “Leap second”, is made roughly every one year and a half and is aimed to be take a step backward of one second to UTC time (hence the name “Leap second”). It’s an operation carried out by the ITU and since 1972 was done 26 times. Thus we can say with certainty, that since 1972 the Earth has slowed down its rotation of 26 seconds. At slow speeds of rotation of the Earth, inevitably corresponds a decrease of the centrifugal force that acts on each volume element of the Hearth (as happens for the chairs of the carousel in the figure of Annex 2), that for small masses is totally insignificant, but for the large land masses takes a huge value.

The fact that the centrifugal force due to rotation of the Earth, act in each volume of Earth’s mass, in opposition to the weight force (due to gravity), implies that to its decrease corresponds an overweight equal to its own decrease; and this resulting overweight, for its most part, weighs on the equatorial zone of the Earth’s mantle (which is a huge sea of liquid fire); hence its narrowing and subsequent settling of the earth’s crust that floats on it. The approximately 40 km crustal thickness, compared to the more than 6500 km (about the radius of the mantle) of semi-liquid mass of the Earth, represent a thin rock layer, that itself is already fractured by thousands of millions of miles of faults; then the beddings that suffers to follow the Earth shrinking, with each reasonable certainty, are the cause of a tragic series of disasters which in recent years are shaking our planet and whose coming to an end, in the light of the represented causes, appears to be far away.

To all this we must add an additional perverse effect of different change of the centrifugal force at different terrestrial depths (at given speed of rotation of the Earth, with decreasing of distance from the rotation axis, the radial velocity decreases and therefore decrease also the centrifugal force applied to earths volumes gradually more inner; so it is also gradually lower the amount of which varies the centrifugal force); from this follows that the weighting suffered from the outer layers of the Earth, is greater than that suffered by the layers progressively more internal; resulting in loading of the latter, and then of the mantle of liquid magma, with a huge increase of pressure exerted by the earth’s crust and by his own layers gradually more external and gradually more burdened; pressure which is obviously in progressive increase with the progressive decrease of the speed of rotation of the Earth. It is a huge growing pressure that has a direct impact on the “caps” of the various volcanoes and super volcanoes and that puts a strain of her resistance.

The progressive narrowing of the equatorial diameter is also the cause of the gradual submergence of the territories of the equatorial zone. This phenomenon is in part due to the minimum increase of level of ocean water, resulting in the melting of the polar ice caps (about 1 mm / year), but we must assume that for its largely part must be attributed to the tendency of ocean water, to restore the lost sphericity of the earth’s polar section. Trend due to the gravitational attraction that every ocean volume element undergoes and at the same time exerts on the rest of the terraqueous mass; attraction which reaches parity and then equilibrium, only when the spherical configuration is restored (See home page of the blog).

Finally, mention must be made on the progressive distancing of the moon from the Earth which is due to the physical law of conservation of angular momentum. This law implies that the slowing of the Earth’s rotation is compensated by an increase in speed of revolution of the moon, and then, for the increase of centrifugal force, follows his shift away from the Earth.

we undersigned 120 citizens of the world, ask to the most excellent Authority in address, to urge the most appropriate scientific research aimed at a more precise evaluation of the indicated phenomena and in search of the most effective solutions for at least mitigate, and possibly stop the represented very serious and unfortunately irreversible planetary disasters. We also ask respectfully to Excellency UN Secretary, Hon. Ban Ki-moon, to set up an authoritative international commission which will be able to effectively deal the represented emergency and provided, with the necessary powers, to offer to all states of the world, with the possible and most authoritative mode, addresses for development policies, more respectful of the collapsing natural balance.
